Arts & Crafts

Jr. Picassos!
Grades 1 - 8
A perennial favorite, Jr. Picassos will bring out your child’s hidden talents by exploring various means of expression through painting, drawing, and sculpting.

Slime Time!
Grades 4k - 8
Join us for ooey-gooey fun! We’ll be making fluffy slime, crunchy slime and more. Each child will get to take home the slime they make at the end of class. Each class is different, please sign up for each class individually.

Friendly Monster Making
Ages 8+
Make your own pet monster! Learn basic stitching skills while you create a one of a kind friend in this fun and silly sewing class. Children under the age of 8 should have an adult present to assist.

Build-a-Reindeer Stuffed Animal
Ages 2+
Watch your child’s eyes light up as you help them bring their Reindeer to life. Each child will receive a kit that includes the reindeer, a wishing star, birth certificate, stuffing, and a bag to bring them home in!

Ceramic Pumpkin Workshop
This workshop will teach you how to transform a slab of clay into a decorative piece of art for Halloween! You will be working with slabs, coils or pinch pots, no experience is necessary! This class is available for both youth and adults.

Do you have a horse, or just wish you did? Join us to discuss various aspects of horses and ownership, plus hang out with horse lovers! There may even be a field trip to a stable!

LEGO Builders

Each week starts with a pile of LEGOs and ends with a completed model. Models could include trucks, planes, boats, tractors, motorcycles and more. Start a new project each week. All projects stay with the instructor, but you will get a small kit on the last day to take home.

Junior Chef's Baking Class
Chocolate Treats: Ages 6 - 13
This hands-on cooking class will prepare some quick treats like: chocolate-covered strawberries, ice cream sandwiches, ding dong cake, cupcake art, and more! Wes Slawson directs the Culinary program at BFHS and teaches college-level Baking and Pastries courses throughout the school year. Class held in the school’s newly upgraded Culinary Kitchen.

The movie making class has a new twist! We are going to use stop-motion to create our very own movies using toys and action figures to bring our stories to life.

Babysitting 101
Ages 10 - 14
In this course, your child will learn the basics of being a safe and responsible babysitter. Our instructor uses the Safekids 101 curriculum and each child will go home with a workbook, completion card and tote bag to start their business.

Fall of the Pen: Realm Shaping and Creative Writing
Ages 14 - Adult
Realm Shaping is a creative writing class designed to introduce new authors and game masters of all kinds to the adventure of world building! Throughout the various classes I will be teaching you everything you need to know to start your own world for your writing needs. This will include things such as: Origins, Magic Systems, Cultures and Histories, Organizations, and much more! By the end of the class you will have all the tools to enhance your writing worlds and create new tales in a world all of your own. Each class will have time set aside to workshop one on one.

Flag Football

This co-ed program focuses on the fundamentals of flag football. The non-competitive 6 on 6 format with rotating positions will help each participant develop a full understanding of the game of flag football. Please arrive 5 minutes early and at least one parent/guardian must be present.

Youth Soccer
Ages 4 - 6
This program focuses on the basic fundamentals of soccer. Our instructor’s approach emphasizes the rules, basic moves, elementary and fun-filled drills. This well-rounded program breaks down each position for a full understanding of the sport.

Tennis Lessons
Ages 5 - 18
Get professional lessons which will make you a better player. Lessons will focus on groundstrokes, serves, and volleys with drills practiced on all strokes, forehands, backhands, volleys, approach shots, serves and more.

Red Ball: is 75% slower than the standard tennis ball with a small court to promote success. Beginners learn the fundamentals while having a fun time.
Orange Ball
: is 50% slower than the yellow(regular) ball with a smaller size court. Proper strokes and technique will be learned in a fun game environment.
Green Ball: is 25% slower ball than the yellow with a regulation size court. Players continue to develop good techniques and movement, and begin to implement game skills and strategy.
Teen Tennis: For players who need more stroke refinement. Players will hit many balls and continue to learn the proper strokes and footwork necessary for productive match-play.

Youth Wrestling Club

Come join in the excitement of wrestling. Learn the basics of wrestling, balance, flexibility, coordination, and even nutrition. Compete against children of the same age and skill level. All levels, from beginner to experienced are encouraged to participate.

Instructor Lynette Vyhnanek is trained in Ballet (minor pointe work), Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary. Lynette has choreographed many solos, duos, and groups that hold First Place National Titles.

Wiggle and move while learning to use motor skills, follow directions, make friends, and have fun! One adult per child is needed to participate. Siblings who are able to walk must be registered if present.

Prepare for dance by learning the language, developing self-confidence and structure, and having fun! The beginning skills of movement and dance will be taught.
Dance Foundations

This class will include ballet, jazz, and musical theater. Dancers will learn the fundamentals of ballet and jazz. Ballet barre and terminology is taught with the class.
