Southern Housing Region - Community Development Block Grant
These block grants are for housing rehabilitation available to low-income property owners or landlords that rent to low-income tenants. These block grants are also available to assist tenants looking to be first-time home owners. The funds are loaned at 0% interest to eligible households for home repairs. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no cost to fill out an application.

Twin Oaks - Shelter for the Homeless
Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless is located in Darien and offers 12 residential units where homeless households can stay up to 60 days. Community Action has operated Twin Oaks since 1992. Professional case manager is available who works with residents in resolving their crisis and finding stable housing. The shelter also offers workshops to build residents’ knowledge and skills in areas such as: employment, landlord/ tenant relationships, budgeting, alcohol and drug awareness, and mental health issues.

Spirit of Hope - Mobile Homeless Shelter for Men
Spirit of Hope provides safe emergency shelter for men who are homeless in Walworth County and has been in operation since 2005. Wisconsin Well Woman Program (WWWP) providing preventive health screening services to women with little or no health insurance coverage. Walworth County Senior Lunch Locations
Meals are available to:
· Any person with a disability who resides at home with an eligible senior also eating at the dining site
· Anyone 60 years or older
· Their spouse/partner regardless of age

Cost: A suggested donation of $3 is asked for each meal. No eligible person will be denied a meal because of inability to make a donation.
Funding for the Senior Meal Program is provided by Title III (Older Americans Act), local funds and participant donations.
Reservations are required and must be made by noon of the prior business day. To make a reservation, please call 262-741-3333.

Dial-a-Ride is a shared ride affordable public transit option for travel in Walworth County. All vehicles are ramp or lift equipped. Same day trips require at least one hour advance notice and cannot be guaranteed. For best service we suggest calling a day in advance. This service does not provide transportation outside of Walworth County. The service is provided by VIP Services in cooperation with the WiDOT & coordination with WalCo Admin Office.
